Wilcoxon's premier digital accelerometer, the 883M, is an industrial sensor that measures vibration in three axes and temperature. This groundbreaking sensor's Modbus output is compatible with local, plant, cloud, and enterprise data systems. The 883M empowers operators with digital data for condition monitoring, process monitoring, IoT edge processing, and data science activities.
In addition to vibration spectrum and time waveforms, the 883M calculates 12 frequency bands per axis. These frequency bands align with ISO 10816-3 and ISO 20816-3 international standards for machine vibration measurement to simplify monitoring and trending.
Very accurate, high resolution measurements are possible due to the sensor’s mechanical design, which eliminates resonance instead of filtering it out. Damping eliminates excessive processing, which can remove relevant vibration content.
