Wilcoxon Introduces Vibration Data Source for MQTT Platforms
January 21, 2026 — Frederick, MD — Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies, an Amphenol company, announced the release of the VDS130, a 4-channel IEPE to MQTT converter designed to interface analog IEPE vibration sensors with MQTT-based digital and cloud platforms.
The VDS130 accepts up to four IEPE accelerometer inputs and publishes vibration data using the MQTT protocol for integration with IIoT platforms, vibration monitoring and analytics, and cloud-based data systems. A tachometer (RPM) input is supported for applications requiring rotational speed reference.
The device preserves analog IEPE sensor signal characteristics when converting to MQTT data. The VDS130 supports vibration spectrum and FFT data up to 40 kHz and provides calculated vibration metrics, including acceleration, velocity, displacement, ISO-defined frequency bands, true peak, crest factor, and standard deviation.
The VDS130 is compatible with a wide range of IEPE accelerometers, including sensors designed for high-frequency measurement, low-frequency monitoring, harsh industrial environments, and hazardous locations. While the VDS130 supports sensors in harsh or hazardous environments, the device itself is not intended for direct installation in aggressive conditions. An optional adapter allows it to be front- or side-mounted on DIN rails in a moderate environment. The device is intended for both retrofit installations using existing IEPE sensors and new digital monitoring applications.
